A new frequent traveller stream will be added to the Subclass 600 - Visitor visa, beginning 19 November 2016 open initially to Chinese nationals only, but with the intention of expanding it to other countries.

Subclass 417 - Working Holiday and Subclass 462 - Work and Holiday visa holders will be saddled with a higher tax rate beginning 1 July 2016 according to the Federal Budget. The fast-track visa option will be expanded to citizens of India and the UAE.
