The Government of Western Australia has announced they will be offering a pathway to a skilled visas to certain international students studying a PhD, Masters and other higher degrees and create a Graduate Skilled Migration List, most likely for either Subclass 190 - Nominated visas and Subclass 489 – Skilled Regional (Provisional) visas.

This higher threshold, though, will not apply to any visa application which received an invitiation to apply before this date. This will not have any foreseeable effect on Subclass 189 - Independent visas or Subclass 489 - Skilled - Regional (Provisional) visas sponsored by an eleigible relative because no invitiation have been issued for 65 points in many months.
