ENS/RSMS TRT stream beneficial policy interpretation confirmed

In August’s Skilled Visa Newsletter, the Department of Home Affairs confirmed a benefical policy interpretation of regulations affecting nominations for Subclass 186 - Employer Nomination Scheme and Subclass 187 - Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme under the Temporary Resident Transition stream that, if interpreted is a strict way, would be very detrimental to some nominees.

Operating under the Subclass 482 - Temproary Skill Shortage visa programme but without any regulations clarifying criteria, it appears to be available only if the Department of Home Affairs are satified their policy objectives have been met.

ImmiAccount will be down sometime after close of business Australian Eastern Standard Time on Friday for platform upgrades. One new feature will be for Subclass 482 – Temporary Skill Shortage visa, Subclass 186 – Employer Nomination Scheme visa, and Subclass 187 – Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa applicants to provide a biometric facial image as part of any application from 1 July 2018.
